 Limited Lifetime Warranty

Your Conant Vermont or Jeffersonian product is warranted against defects in material and workmanship when purchased directly from Conant, Weems & Plath (Conant's parent company), or a Conant reseller. This warranty is extended only to you as the original end-use purchaser or the person receiving the product as a gift for as long as you own this product, and shall not be extended to any other person or transferee. Prior to providing warranty service, Conant (or Weems & Plath) may require you to provide proof of purchase details, including but not limited to a receipt, sales invoice, or product registration (on the Weems & Plath website).Any defect caused by misuse, accident, tampering or negligence of the user is not covered by this warranty.

Your exclusive remedy in the event of a defect or non-conformity in the product is limited, at the option of the seller, to return the product for repayment of the price, or to repair the product and replace the non-conforming or defective goods or parts (in part or in whole). If the warranted product and/or its replacement goods or parts are no longer available, Conant (at its discretion) reserves the right to offer the owner a comparable replacement when feasible. Conant shall not be liable for any indirect, special, exemplary, incidental or consequential damages arising out of a defect or non-conformity in the product.

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS WARRANTY IS THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY PROVIDED BY WEEMS & PLATH. WEEMS & PLATH CLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT), AND WEEMS & PLATH'S LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE.

Caution: If your product is battery operated, movement damage caused by battery leakage is not covered under warranty. A clock movement continues to draw voltage from the battery until the battery dies. Leaving a dead battery in place causes the battery to leak acid which destroys the movement. For this reason, it is important to replace the battery once a year, even if the battery is not dead at the time of replacement. If the instrument is not in use, remove the battery to reduce the possibility of costly movement damage.

Finish Is Excluded From Lifetime Warranty:

The Living Finish of this Vermont product is not warranted. This product is constructed of brass or copper because of its natural resistance to corrosion. A protective coating is not applied to the surface of our instruments because no coating will last as long as the raw metal itself. Within a few months’ exposure to the elements, the product will begin to age gracefully and naturally to a fine patina. This patina will improve over time and enhance its natural beauty for years to come.
